Selling intakes?
I agree with Danny, in fact his post with Dyno numbers convinced me to get the Injen CAI and I love it to this day.
People sell for many many reasons. I know many that have sold because they needed cash, or just wanted to switch up their setup. A friend of mine has gone through I believe 90% of all the exhausts available for our car right now.
The only change in performance was when I installed the intakes. The gain was clearly felt under any condition of driving (streets, cruising, highway...etc). I haven't noticed any drop off but to be fair, if for some reason there is "performance deterioration" and it happened little by little over time, it would be hard to catch.
The price difference from Maxima intakes may take some time to get used to. But it is a much different car, more expensive, better performance, more luxurious. The 2 cars are in completely difference classes. Not to mention you're getting dual (2) intakes, as opposed to 1. I think CAI is the way to go if you don't mind a longer install. You'd avoid heat soak with CAIs. And the other CAI choice is obviously Stillen. I don't have first hand experience but a local friend of mine reported scary lean AF ratios when he dynoed his Stillens. I don't have any results to prove it, it was from his first hand experience.
Check with Lou at Amplified Motorsports for current pricing on the Injens. I'm not sure if it's still $500. Don't forget to mention that you're from the forum and have read my post!
Good luck!

imo, you are spending money on the sound and looks. Performance will be little, if any...and in some cases, negative. A full exhaust would probably be better or hfcs. Ive gone through two intakes now and im back to stock and very happy. I believe I felt loss in low end as well...
Scary lean A/F with Stillen's Gen 3's? Well there's only one way to find out..
