So OP, was the UP Rev tune worth it besides changing your Revs? And what are your bolt-ons? I see the F.I. CF Exhaust, what else?

Nevermind I saw your sig for the mods. I am still curious about the feel of the car after the tune. Do you feel more low-end, better top-end or just an over-all better feel?

5th gear? ull get more whp read out on a 5th gear run than on a 4th gear run. Do a 4th gear run and make it official.

If the gear ratio for that particular gear was input to the dyno then it shouldn't make a difference and besides, if you're comparing gains, it shouldn't matter as long as you're comparing gains from dynos of the same gear

Oh and besides, the smaller the gear, the higher the HP numbers dyno'd for the same gear ratio input

Its better on the higher end of the rev band. Yeah id say its a pretty good mod, the Z guys are talking about the tune just being in its infancy. Soon there will be more adjustments that can be made to our car, just waiting on Up-Rev.

Around 5kish it definitely feels faster. The tuner i worked with told me it wasn't necessary to raise the redline up 500, so he kept me at the stock redline.

You'll get the most accurate whp numbers in 5th since it has a 1:1 ratio, yes it's the 21st century and you can input your gear ratio into the dyno, guess I just love it old school for some reason

I remember seeing around 160mph on my dyno pull lol

A ratio is a ratio. 5th is 1:1 from a primary reduction perspective, but what about secondary and final drive reduction?

Not in my situation, my closest 1:1 was fourth. I did 2 runs in 5th gear and ran 295whp, then ran 307whp in 4th gear, engine temps were the same through each run.

Nope, I have never seen a tuner input gear ratios into a dyno. They just make a run in 4th or 5th and see which one makes more power and get their baseline that way. Maybe the dynos I was using wasn't technically advanced LOL.

Yeah I remember on our dyno day, it was get in, dyno, get out and there were all kinds of cars, talk about accuracy eh
