^^^that's a great video. Exactly my point. Most auto manufacturers (INCLUDING NISSAN!!!!) do NOT recommend engine/transmission flushing due to potential damage to those parts. I would NEVER take another car to Jiffy Screw or an EZ Lube-me-outta-extra-money. PERIOD. Use quality oil with a new filter every 3750 miles and there's NO REASON your engine should need a "flush".....more like flushing cash down the toilet if you ask me.

 

i wouldn't think you need an engine flush in any car before 60k.

 

Back in the days, one of my buddies worked for a major oil change chain. I used to bring in my GS-R, an oil filter and 5 quarts of Mobil 1 Synthetic to have him change it for me. He would always drain the oil, pour in a quart of bulk dino or synthetic blend to flush the engine, put in the new filter and then fill with Mobil 1. Was it necessary? No, but the flush was free so I didn't complain.

 

You don't need an engine flush, EVER! A solvent is used to "flush" the engine which is essentially a degreaser. Think about what happens when that solvent degreases your crank and rod bearings and then you start the engine after adding new oil......bad things would happen. Change your oil when the manual says to, and you'll never have to worry about sludge build up.

 

^Yep. Go flush your colon first before flushing anything on your automobile.
Extended warranties,"The Protector", rustproofing, bird doody treatments and on and on.....

 

And don't forget, very critical, to have your dealer refill the tires with InfinitAir for only $80...

 

This is a scam.....When in doubt, go with your owner's manual.

As long as you change your oil at the recommended intervals, you shouldn't have this problem on a modern car.

 

Modern car? Hell, ANY car, except a Kia! How else are 60s muscle cars still around with original engines. Changing your oil, the #1 recommended "engine flush", lol.
