My brothers G35 (las vegas)

Hey, has anyone heard of a line of 07 G35 engines that burn up oil very frequently?

He is on his -third- engine now because the first two would just go dry for no apparent reason and the dealership doesnt know why either. this last tuesday they put oil in it and today it was bone dry.

Damn are you sure they are putting oil in the engine and not in the fuel tank. he's burning through Oil like no ones business. I just had mine changed and now i smell burning when i punch it. I keep meaning to check the oil, with all my arbitration stuff i know the service department has to hate me by now, I've brought their crappy service to the attention of everyone from Infiniti Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Automotive Repair, and BBB Arbitration Line. I wouldn't put it past them to say "screw this guy," and not change the oil.

most likely the burning smell is the oil burning on your engine cause they probably spilt some

I have .. He has a rev up engine . I had the same problem with my 06 Z . My engine did the same thing and Nissan bought back my car and also gave me some money to put in my pocket. This is a known problem .. Gotta love the Rev up....

yup, heard of the older series of motors having oil consumption issues, but never heard anything about the newer VQ35HR's or VQ37HR's having this problem!

Damn, I'm from Vegas and have known a few g35 owners but have never heard of that! I'm glad my G37 doesn't have that problem. You know, it's been a while and maybe your bro can pull that whole buy-back thing that NeverBoneStock mentioned and score himself a sweet G37 sedan! Good luck!
