Do you know what amount oil will get the level from L(low) to H(high) in the dipstick??

 

From the low mark to the high mark should be 1 quart.

I am trying to see if it consumes oil. It went down from "H" to the middle of the dipstick in 2000 miles.

 

That is not particularly unusual during break in and Infiniti won't do anything about it if it doesn't consume more than a quart between scheduled oil changes. Keep an eye on it though

 

yeah, we will see. i think it will burn more than a quart in 5k miles.
If it does I plan on requesting oil consumption test. I would hate to see oil consumption on a car with 13k miles on.

 

I have 20K miles on my 08 and have never had to add oil between oil changes. 70% of my mileage is interstate at 70-90 mph. My oil change schedule is 5k miles with Valvoline Synthetic.

 

I actually did my 2nd oil change my self. After taking my car to Infiniti and requesting a full synthetic oil change after the break in (2000miles) i waited for 30 minutes and went to pay when he said $40 something total, i was stunned, i asked him and this is what it costs to put full syn? he said ohh, i am sorry i thought you wanted just a regular oil change.. so after that i havent had the dealer change the oil for me, i changed it my self at 5000 miles and used Royal Purple, i driver MOSTLY HIGHWAY and driver a lot 25-30k per year. I am getting close to 10k miles and just checked my oil the other day and its right in the middle the way it was when i originally changed the oil at 5k. Hopefully nothing changes down the road that would really suck to try and keep an eye on.
