MXP or HKS ?

i have the MXP on order with a ship date sometime at the end of this month but i could have the HKS system immediately for $400 more. Whats the consensus here ? the MXP is a brand new system and looks great but so does the HKS which is a system that is out there already and has proven build quality. Is it worth the extra $400 ?

The MXP's should be here any day now, and then read up a few reviews, videos, and then you can make a better more informed decision.

I on the other hand have already decided. i can has MXP please.

I was stuck between the two as well.

Here were my deciding factors:
The MXP uses the stock location...thus higher ground clearance as it is tucked up. (MXP 1, HKS 0)
Looks wise, the MXP was more subtle in the rear compared to the two large canisters of the HKS...Another plus for the MXP for my purposes. (MXP 2, HKS 0)
Out of the videos, I did like how the HKS sounded more than the MXP...But both were not bad. (MXP 2, HKS 1)
Quality was high in both from what I saw in pictures. (MXP 3, HKS 2)

Given those factors and the pre-production price of the MXP being lower (MXP 4, HKS 2)...I decided on the MXP.

**shrug** I don't think you can go wrong with either. I really wish the MXP had an X-pipe though.

From my understanding, X pipe should put more power. I believe Berk is using the X-pipe in the upcoming 370Z exhaust. Time will tell.

does any one know if the FI sounds better than the MXP? I prefer a louder exhaust anyway.

I don't like how the Invidia looks and I want true duals for the mufflers. Not a single connecting muffler like the stock setup. With this car, I'm not dead set on making performance a priority. I'd rather have something that looks and sounds good than something that makes 2-3 more horsepower. Not enough of a difference in gains for me.
