Depends on the extent of the damage, but possibly a long block + install.

Yeah for sure..I will be back at the track in November for Redline Time Attack.. I will hit a few other track days before that. I'm thinking of getting an oil and trans cooler and possibly an oil spacer. GTM and Stillen have these available now so I'm saving up. Time to abuse the new engine

Excellent place to speak about your experiences... I surely hope Infiniti Corp is roaming the boards as I'm sure they are.

The problem here is that he has no mods that could possibly void his warranty . It's further compounded by the fact that he has a 5AT, so the mis-shift possibility is gone, and it's evident that he doesn't do neutral drops

This isn't Mitsubishi we're dealing with

some of these comments get under my skin...

Whether he drove the car hard or babied... its his choice... cars are made to be driven... and if the engine fails then it should be replaced... Infiniti did the right thing... and to OP can keep doing what hes doing... Drive it like he stole it...

Some of you people need to drive faster and wake your life up

anyways... Put the hammer down OP

It doesn't bother me how he drove the car, in fact I support track events. However, what bothers me is why did this happen. If it is an oil pressure failure due to hard corning shifting oil from the sump pick-up point, perhaps a redesign or running a second pump would be beneficial.

More information on this? I can't seem to dig up much info for our oil system upgrades.

I've installed a spacer to get another 1.2qts in there to keep the temps down, and I'm in the process of getting an oil cooler, but I would love to add an extra level of protection.
