Question re. intake mods

Hello all... first question from a new member.

I am having the Stillen Gen-3 intake, cat-back exhaust & pulleys installed on my 08 '37-S. Wondering if there is anything i need to know re. wet weather driving and the intake (having the K&Ns out front). Can i still take my car through the car wash or will the under car spray get those filters too wet? Is there a risk of motor damage?

Great forum...looks like it will be an expensive place to hang out!

Thanks to all who respond.

Search, eh.

But at any rate. No it will not effect your motor. Just don't spray your filters with water while at WOT.

Welcome to myg37!

Yes, your absolutely right.. this place IS expensive to hang out in.. You'll want to buy a new mod every day. Thats a nice list you have so far as far as mods go. As far as i know, the filters will be fine as long as you don't completely submerge them in water.

it's very unlikely you will damage your motor unless you submerge both filters underwater.

Sure does... not so worried about rain anymore. Don't imagine i'll be at WOT coming out of the car wash, so that should be okay too.

Thanks!
