Tranny and Lsd fluid

I am changing my transmission and LSD fluid tomorrow. Should I use the Infinity brand or an aftermarket oil? . Can someone help me make the right decision please. Thanks for your time.

when I had my Acura Legend back in the days, I was told to only use Acura/Honda ATF. So with that in mind, using Nissan brand is a good idea and I too am about to do my own 30k mile service, which does include the ATF also coolant and drive belt.

I would use a synthetic LSD fluid. Why are you changing your tranny fluid already? How many miles do you have?

I have 24,000 highway miles on it, 70 miles a day to and from work alone. I am also hearing some cracking noises from underneath the car. I thought this was a faulty transmissio so I took it to the dealer and they said that sound was normal. I hear the noise in 1st and 2nd gear, I hear the same noise on bumpy roads also.

Dont you just hate it when Infiniti owners themselves can't spell their car name correctly? In case you haven't looked on your trunk, it's spelled Infiniti.

Just wanted to post an update on my clicking and knocking noise. It was a broken tire pressure sensor in my right rear tire. I probably broke it myself when I changed the tires.

Infiniti brand oil ONLY for transmission.

Apparently, Nissan has a very specific Synthetic they use in the tranny. I have 18K on mine and wanted to do a tranny oil change but was refused by my local garage. This garage is highly respected in the community and he could have very well screwed me over and changed the oil with Motul - I would have gladly paid through the nose for that stuff too. He did say he highly recommends a tranny breake-in oil change at about the 15k mark.

Go to the dealer and get it done right. I am already scheduled for Next Monday.

I'll use "transmission" so there's no confusion.
How hard is it to change the transmission fluid and differential gear oil? I haven't done it on our car, but can't imagine it be any different from changing oil.
