Exedy is the largest clutch manufacture in the world they are the # 1 oem supplier for 90% of the japanese auto makers. there is really no compression between jwt and exedy .
when buying a jwt clutch you are getting a factory clutch disc (stock oem replacement) and a modified oem press plate that is it. On the other hand when buying an exedy stage one clutch for example you are getting a complete upgraded clutch disk and a press plate so in a nut shell you are getting a true upgraded performance clutch .

For those looking at including a flywheel with the clutch please note the difference between JWT and Exedy. Please feel free to correct me if any of the below information is inaccurate, however based on my research this is what I have found.
JWT - Aluminum
(Was not able to confirm this on the JWT site, but see based on searches that JWT seems to use aluminum in their flywheels. If someone can confirm whether or not aluminum is being used we would all appreciate it.)
Exedy - One piece billet chromoly steel forgings
Directly from the Exedy site:
"EXEDY Racing Flywheels are made from solid one piece billet chromoly steel forgings. They are specifically designed to reduce weight and inertia for better engine response.
Most incorporate special design features to enhance air flow to improve the cooling of the clutch. The ring gear teeth are milled onto the flywheel unlike an aluminum flywheel where the ring gear is pressed onto the flywheel and have the possibility of separating from the flywheel."
Here is some additional information from MySepcV.com regarding potential dangers of lightweight flywheels utilizing aluminum. For those using aluminum there are also steps to take to ensure a safer installation of your flywheel.

Hopefully this is assistance to anyone else looking to change the clutch and flywheel. I know I will be changing mine and appreciate any additional information.

Hows the noise compared to the stock? All of our cars are still pretty new to exhibit the "cement truck" tranny noise with a light weight flywheel but I'm curious about how its going to fare as time goes on. I had the JWT combo on my G35, and the sound it made was almost bad enough to outweigh the benifit of how frickin fast it let her rev. Its completely worth it performance wise and IMO is a better mod than a full exhaust AND intake, but it made old girl sound like a 72' AMC Eagle @around 1500 RPM which is a tad embarrasing in a car like this

exedy seems like the right choice .. does anyone have it installed on g37? .. i would love to do a clutch and flywheel but .. it definitly is sort of embarresing to have a loud chatter coming from a 44k car .. people already think theres something wrong with my car because of the stock chatter .. does the exedy clutch and flywheel setup sound just as loud as the jwt? anyone?
