Performance camshafts TBA?

just wanted to know if anyone contacted manufacturers to know when they plan to introduce some for g37. that's the only thing i need to get the engine work done. make lighter pistons/rods, port'n'polish, that kind of things. found no cams available now

Our cars have VVEL system in them.. instead of valves being controlled by mechanical cams, they have some complicated electrical mechanism. Meaning you can change lift degrees, timings etc by simply re-programming the ECU.. someone correct me if I'm wrong please

GTM did introduce lighter & stronger rods check out this thread: https://www.myg37.com/forums/engine-...torsports.html

you have some understanding, but, read this and understand why you still need cams. it's similar to bi-vanos from bmw , dual-cvvt from hyundai and so on. but what i need is change the phase of opening the valve(overlap and phase control), lift and duration controls are in the different equation.
here, read this , you'll understand
http://www.nissan-global.com/EN/DOCU...0713VVEL-e.pdf
the rods are the sex, but i can just make stock rods/pistons(and even the pins) lighter, so don't have need in such expensive parts, but thanks for the link, nice that someone already has taken the lead and works on this engine!

have you looked at 35hr aftermarket cams? i think the exhaust cams might be interchangeable.

I'm not sure, but I've heard that Jim Wolf is working on some.
