Service Engine Soon Light

Hey,

Today when driving to school i noticed that my Service Engine Soon light came on, but right before the sign came up, i scraped my car on a speedbump at my school, just the front of it, it wasnt bad at all, just a regular scrape lol, but i dont think this would cause the light to appear, but then i might be wrong. I made a appt. at infiniti service for friday, my service rep told me to check my gas cap, i checked it and it was fine, everything was tight, so i dont know if this could be a serious promblem or just a scare lol.

Thanks for helping

i doubt it was because you scraped... how many miles do you have on the car?

why don't you fill it up and see what happens? i doubt CEL would come on because of low washer fluid... i thought it was another light?

i was cleaning my engine bay today, and i checked my fluids, and they were in the low level, (power sterring + brake fluid) could that be causing the light?

You may have lost or damaged an 02 sensor...Many of us who have had HighFlow Cats installed have the SES light on all the time...I've personally gotten used to it...

the SES light can be anything haha, mine was on cause apparently, my hand brake was registered as being on when i would go over 4 mph every time i drove. it was weird, nonetheless cause there's no way that the hand brake was on every time i drove it and it was obviously not on haha. but whatev.
