Weird Idle When Started Up

I'm aware that when the car is started cold its going to have a idle at around 1.5K RPM untill wamed up. Lately the car has been idling at around 2K and it stays up there even after the temp needle is at half way(reg operating temp). Also while driving with the car with the high idle the rpms seem to stay up and drop very very slowly while the car is in neutral and stopped. Anyone else experience this problem?

I know on the 6MTs its higher idle. Mine gets up there too on cold starts.

In My opinion its too high an idle for a cold start.

Yea it ahs always been at 1.5K no more then that and once the temp needles moves up a bit it drops to normal. I'ts going up to 2+K and staying up there even after the needle is at halfway.

You sure you're not resting your foot on the accelerator?

I think the highest I've seen mine idle on a cold start is about 1800. I wait until it hits about 1100 before I go.

I do garage my car, so it hasn't been fully exposed to the elements on a really cold day.

go to your dealership and mention this TSB. I had the same exact issue and they reflashed my ECU. Problem solved.

edit: nevermind, this is for AT only.

Hm mine gets to about 2k on REALLY cold start ups
But a hanging idle could be a few things
(Dirty MAF, Bad Ground someware)
Take it to the dealer and see what they say

After it warms up to near operating temp and stays high, does it drop to 700-800 RPM after you press the accelerator one time? Have you checked your oil level?
