Dyno'd My Car

So today I decided to dyno my car. I had it done at Speedworld in Baldwin, NY Place was pretty clean and cost $75 for 3 runs. I thought that was reasonable since some shops i called were charging $150.

A few weeks ago I installed a Fast intentions Catback exhaust and about 3 days ago got the Cobb AP. I'm currently running stage 2. After the tune i felt the car pull much stronger so i was curious to see how much it was putting down. I will post some vids later. Anyways here are the numbers:

what would you like me to explain?

The run that is highlited in red was the 3rd run, which was the best run.
He ended up revving to around 8000 rpm's, whereas the other's were performed up to 7500 rpm

well the middle one gained 10hp. so i was wondering if you added a stage on your AP or what?

Was your point of this dyno to see what you were at total? or were you testing the Cobb AP out? thats what I was wondering...

oo i see..no basically i was just testing to see how much hp i have gained overall with the cobb AP and the fast intentions catback... one of the runs were done in 3rd gear and the other 2 in 4th gear... but the run that maxed at 292hp was revved higher than the other 2...i'm assuming that's were the power gain is coming from

? def not
A dyno is a dyno and i wanted to see how much power is really putting down.
Afterall, why do people get dyno's done at all then according to your theory.
And i paid 50 cuz i got a discount

local shop asked me for 220$ for a dyno.. wanted to do a before and after on my FI setup.. he gave me a 350$ invoice so im like screw it! butt dyno is for free

i'm just saying for 50 bux a session i would've done endless before and afters! and its what you should've done to figure out the true gains

what's the point of doing a b4 and after?
I know for a fact a stock G37 puts down around 265hp stock
So there's your before and after 265hp--->292hp

That's slightly flawed logic. But since the dyno showed what you wanted to see, and you got a good price on it that's all that matters I guess .

Edit: And now, having actually looked at the dyno....that's an interesting torque range for 3 identical runs.....

you get a dyno to get the delta...so when you mod you have a baseline...

exactly, in english, you want to know how much you gained on a hot humid day you'll get a different number than on a cold unhumid one.. and it does make a difference (265whp sounds low I've seen 280's around)
