So I Got A New Transmission and....

So I have about 7500 miles on my car and I had grinding issues with 3rd and 5th gear... regular driving nothing crazy... I would have the clutch depressed all the way to the floor and I felt grinding... So when I got my 7500 maintenance check up, I asked them about it, and the mechanic confirmed a transmission problem... He then later needed me to bring my car back in for diagnosis. My AFS light also kept blinking and I asked them about that too...After an hour or so, they diagnosed the AFS problem as an AFS actuator problem... so they ordered the part and said for me to reschedule to fix it.

I went back there ASAP, 7:30 a.m. after thanksgiving, brought it there, and they said they'd need my car for 3 days because they had to call infiniti corporate and whatnot. My AFS actuator also had not come in yet.

So, I call them today and they said that I get a brand new transmission because there was problems with my synchronizers. They are sending the old one back to infiniti. And the AFS actuator still has not come in yet... So they said it'll probably be the end of this week until I get my car back....

So my question is, any of you have to replace a tranny yet?

I'll let Infiniti have my car for a week while I put the miles on a loaner and beat the **** out of it.

I guess your giving the car bad luck. JK. hmm I don't really have grinding right now cause my car is pretty new but keeping on taking it to the dealer till they have the problem fixed.
