Wasn't the fuel mixture ratio something that wasn't reset by an ECU reset and I take it flash as well. Any possibility the Access port can reset that variable so the car could learn a new intake?

Curious on some more feedback on it...you felt power through out the whole band from going from stock to loading up the stage 2 map? How much of a difference was felt?

so i have almost the same setup as the thread starter. i have stillen gen 3, and magnaflow cat back exhaust is on arrival but no hfc, and soon i will have the cobb ap this week. so my question is should i wait for the new maps with the aftermarket intakes and exhaust before i install the cobb ap? i will not be putting on my stock exhaust just to run the cobb.

yes, but up top it really screams...it was only a stock computer not a stock car...car feels great, put u in the back of the seat hard...not forced induction hard or has any feeling of that type of power, but it moves....for the most part i am loving the power increase....i think they say 11% power increase with stage 2...now if it was just tuned id squeaze a few more ponies out...

throw it on, you can only run stage 1 tho...hfc lets you do stage 2...they say not to use the programmer if you have a aftermarket intake, but i called COBB and they said run it and see what happens, whatch my AFR and if its bad, tehy can try 2 tweak it a tad and they would send me the file...so i think you should be fine..

to everyone that asks the same intake question over and over again...

answer: the cobb app gives you a map for the car tuned with a certain addition of mods (I.e. HFC's and exhaust) the fuel is altered, ignition timing and I'm sure cam angles (if they can be) now the problem is we have MAF sensors that read the velocity of air that comes in our intakes. different intakes will change that velocity because of different lengths and diameters, not all intakes are the same. they cannot garantee what 1 intake will do over the other.

now what happens if YOU decide to slap on an intake? if the diameter of the intake is too big u loose air flow but gain volume, if the diameter is too small u gain flow but loose volume. so that means it will help in certain areas and loose in others. that change is what the MAF monitors, so unless the car is tuned for that specific intake the fuel is going to be off... enought to make any damage you ask?? ABSOLUTELY NOT, the difference is going to be very small, but of course nothing is garanteed.

so there is a perfect intake for different setups, that's what a dyno is for... to figure what the motor and ecu like and don't like.
