Why, oh why, did the 3.7L not increase in torque?

maybe they increase engine bore and not the stroke resulting in more powerful engine with not as much of an increase in torque.

I dont know. I would like for my car to have 350ftlb tq. I feel the car has trouble getting off the line someitmes; that is if u dont launch it.

Would you rather have the car make 350 ft/lbs and 300 hp instead of 330 hp?

Turn off the VDC for easier launch. I have the same problem with my Z and G37 and I just turn off the Traction Control and it is a lot easier for everyday driving, except of course when it raining.

I would have preferred if they raised the redline to 8k, rather than 350tq. I think high revving cars are much more fun.. Take for instance that Gt3. It revs to a fancy 8300..
