lol, not at all. Its actually really exciting to see the kind of power these cars put down on TT kits. 12psi would be terrible power for my car, seeing how wg pressure is 15psi, but on these G37s it makes crazy power. I think 40psi on a G37 would rip the motor into a million pieces. Juans car makes the same power on 12psi that my car makes on 24-25psi. My turbo just has to work harder to put down that kind of power, especially pushing throw a tiny little 4 banger. I just cant wait to see what power we can get out of a fully built TT G37.

With the GTM kit, the 5mph bumper is removed providing better cooling across both the I/C AND the radiator because the I/C is not located too close to the radiator. If the I/C is too close to the radiator, the cooling flow to the radiator is either blocked, minimized, or heated.

This was a concern for me as well, but here's my rationality for installing the GTM kit on my car ...

If the owner of this TT kit plans to bump the car at 5mph, he should simply not have the kit because this is most likely driver error. If however, he rear ends someone or something in a head on collision type accident, ANY front mount I/C will be smashed, regardless of whether or not there is a 5mph bumper.

Now as for the crash worthiness of the GTM I/C vs the 5mph bumper, I'd say the intercooler is much stronger than the thin wall aluminum box beam bumper. The I/C is actually thicker than the stock impact beam and made with one piece using a bunch of parallel plates adding to it's strength.

Just my opinion for what it's worth.

thats cool i totally understand. i was just asking.. with the type of intercooler that was used on my car we were able to keep the 5mph bumper, and i have no issues with air flow or anything... but i do agree with the driving though, but its for those other idiots that are on the road with us that skeer me...
thats cool that spec is making a clutch for it.. do they already have it or are they designing one?

No, they dont. They will be using this car to design one for the 37 so hopefully soon they will have one...

Love the G37...but for the price to turbo and get everything smooth, I'd throw in a little bit more and get a GTR.
