Paddle Shifts slow?
Hey, just wanted to ask other G37 owners if they've used the paddle shifters on their G and if the tranny shifted the gear when you hit it or if there was like a short delay? Just wanted to know if that's normal. Thanks!

Was the A3 a DSG or Sportronic tranny? If so, you are comparing a full automatic transmission to a double clutch computer-shifted transmission. Kind of like comparing apples to road apples.
The lag is rev matching, once you learn how to use it, it pretty cool. I've just installed BB's kit, need more driving time to see if there's any improvement. I did just sqeal tires with VDC on and on dry hot pavement...touchy little thing our throttle. Thought the light turned green and it hadn't... no traffic and decided to burn through..and litterally did.

Yea I predict that thing will be dangerous, I'd like improved throttle response, but I don't want my throttle being an extremely sensitive hair trigger. I'm sure we'll see folks running into walls parking or backing up if they don't have the cable for reverse disengagement. Someone's bound to forget to turn it off sooner or later.
