Vdc

are most of you driving with the VDC off to get a better exhaust note and maybe go a little quicker?

VDC is completely unrelated to anything having to do with your exhaust note. As far as going any quiker, you may be able to launch slightly faster with it disabled if you are going for all out accceleration, but for everyday driving turning it off will not help you drive any faster.

This topic has been done to death, try a search and see what's been posted already.

Don't know about the exhaust note? but I deactivate because it activates mid-turn most of the time and cuts power. This happens a lot because of rough pavement and Florida sand, but other cars I driven have not been as sensitive and allow for just a little wheel spin. I am going to try to adjust my air pressures a bit lower and see if that affects it.

I do try to keep it on in rainy conditions. At least on my old G35 it did a good job of saving the car is extreme maneuvers in the wet (I tested it a lot!)

I keep it off... The exhaust note may be the same, but the tone is definitely amplified.

I have also noticed less initial acceleration lag with it off.

Please explain... VDC doesn't really have anything to do with the exhaust system so I can't see how it would have any effect on the note or tone of it... Maybe it's just in your head brah...

Oh yeah, and I keep VDC on about 85% of the time... And the LSD on our "S" models is pretty dam good IMO...

i don't know about exhaust note but vdc helps your wheels stick to the road. i raced my friends vette (lost of course) with and without vdc... the 2nd time without it my tires were screeching like crazy at the launch. With the vdc on, no screeching at all...

I would suggest killing the radio, rolling down the windows and accelerate with VDC on and off. If you don't heard a difference between the two, I would suggest a hearing aid.

how would there be a difference in exhaust note on a computer that controls ur traction control whether its on or off?

or are u trying to say without VDC u hear ur tires spin? and with VDC ur tires dont spin as much?

I must need a hearing aid too because there is not a difference in the exhaust note from VDC on to off.
