Where's the power? do you all have this problem...
Jeez bro, you're screwing the hell out of your torque converter clutch. That poor tranny is going to be dead by 50k. If you're gonna break torque it like that, do it for real. Don't slowly edge up the rpms over the course of 30 seconds. You should hold the break, bring it to 1500, then floor it.
Either way is horrible, but at least the flooring it is a proper break torque. You're just edging it up and your car is crying please stop raping me in the *** slowly with a shovel.
Did your parents buy that? (I see you had to convince them, convince them to buy or allow you to buy?)
Back OT, you should be able to floor it from a standstill and break lose when an auto for sure. IF not I'd say its either 100 degrees out or you may have a lack of power.

took friend for a ride last thursday. low humidity and 50 degrees. i shifted into second hard, and the wheels spun until i got off the gas. the rear slid out to the side and i'm pretty sure the tires would have spun to redline. shifted into third and spun some more. maybe it was because of the weather, but my 6mt has plenty of power.
So i had to take in my G this weekend because the main seal of the tranny broke and was leaking...which is beside the point of my story here. I got to drive an 07+ G35 sedan and was floored by how easy it lit up the tires. It seemed like it had oodles more power than what I would have hoped was the faster style, my coupe....
I got my coupe back and decided to really push it off the line... no tire chirping... vdc off...still no tire chirping. ok ok, i realize that wheel spin means LESS power, but how is it that I cant even burn out or chirp my tires from a stop?
Which leads me to think, and hope... that something is wrong. Please let me know if you guys get wheel spin off the line, full throtle... This is of course for "off road" research only....
