No its called rev-matching and it causes a serious lag when downshifting at low speeds. Just be careful in MM when turning, I've had it happen a few times the car just dies in the middle of a turn and them boom..

ok sort of a thread jack but....

Any of you experiance not being able to put the car in DS mode from d mode. I was driving and went to shif tot DS for some fundriving with the shifter but it did not change and neither the paddles or the shifter worked. Pulled over stopped and then it worked. Anyone else have this happen?

Have you been able to duplicate the problem or was it a one time thing?

so far just a one time thing but I thought I would ask to see if anyone else had this happen. I was driving the car pretty hard at the time. It only happened the other day so only time and driving will tell.

LOL!!

I would keep an eye on it and if it happens again, take it to the dealer to be checked out.
If it never does it again then maybe it was just a freak thing....
Keep us posted though.... I have a 5AT as well so I would like to be forewarned if there is something wrong....
