Mine still smells, close to about 1100 on the clock, I smell it when i pull into my garage and I assumed it was the new crap burning off but its still smells, just not as bad as it use to.

Thanks for the reply.

After a week of driving (220 miles). I don't smell it as much now.

you shouldn't go hard on the gas anyway cuz your breaking it in... now the break-in period.. that's a whole other debate

Hi,

My 08 g37S coupe gives out a bad oil smell at full throttle and over 4K rpm. The car has 37500 miles. If I dont not go full throttle then its okay. Has anyone experienced this??

Thanks,

And that is from someone that drives with his turn signal on all the time.

I've had the oil changed at jiffy lube since I owned the car and it's got 40k miles on it and have had no such smell. And having the car on recirculate instead of fresh air will not hurt mileage any or make any difference other than the air will be colder.

break- in period has nothing to do with it. I have no idea what it is but my 350z did the same thing and my g37 does it too..smells pretty disgusting and I use nothing but fully synthetic oils.
