OK DiamondG, here is my response: As others have mentions, glazed pads can be a big problem. Here is a link you should read Click Here. As I see from your comment it seems like you wanted to know what I meant by breakin for the brakes. Wouldn't it have been better for you just to ask what I meant then posting a comment (IMO) that was asinine? It would have been x100 more productive to just post that last paragraph you had in your previous post. I have no problem with people joking with me or poking fun if it is done in the right way such as posting j/k after so I know your joking. Posting a comment that insults my knowledge or intelligence is not cool and that is what I felt you did IMO. I have no problem admitting when I am wrong so if I am then let me know and have proof. I am not arrogant to think that I am always right. Also, flexing your muscle (your power) on this forum to me is not going to work out very well for you either. If I see something that seems wrong on this forum then I am going to point it out and stick by what I think is right. Your threat will not stop me from doing what is right. That is why I posted about your reply and posted to defend other forum members that are not that knowledgeable or smart on this forum when others resort to name calling and rudeness. I know the rules of this forum and I usually follow them to a T. I have been around this forum since it was a sub forum on G35 so I am no NOOB. This is a good forum so I highly doubt I would get banned or suspended for defending my post, but if I do it is best for me not to be here then. Finally, I had a bad week so my post had a little anger that should not have been directed toward you so I apologize for that. I still question your post but I will apologize for the anger in my post.

Just to get back on topic for a minute... I followed the manual for my break in procedures.... Mostly... Its just so fun getting on the gas and running the engine up... I didnt redline until after 1200 miles but at a little over 1300 I was out at the 1/4 mile testing her out....

My suggestion would be to be nice in the beginning and then go for it. These engines are built to last well past 100k so unless you are planning on making this your last car purchase, enjoy it!! Its a great ride!!!
