I imagine one of the main things that chip does for the 335i is increase the boost? Just guessing.... remembering my old college roomate talking about 1.8T's.

turbo cars are crazy when you add a chip to them, you can get easy and cheap hp with them. i heard that you can get low 4's with just a chip and a downpipe with the 335i.

The stock motor is not going to hold 500hp everyday very long. Can a 335 do that? no your right because its twin turbo'ed not SC as we are dicussing. The 335 can make 500 without modding the motor. Thirdly a single turbo conversion if going to be costely on a 37 due to the dual intake system. You would need to have a whole new intake plenium made with a single throttle bottle. Which is just a waste of money on this car.
291 to the wheels?

That could be 340 hp or so at the crank. So yeah, its possible. Usually its a 10-20% loss, so that fits right in the 330-340 (SAE) HP range.

From experience with an Audi and a chip.. Although it did increase my HP by about 40, it also caused about 40,000 problems with my car. It was constantly being towed cuz it was always misfiring, I cracked the turbo (1.8T), MAF sensors reaplced 3 times, ughh I could go on.. I don't recommend doing this. Fortunately the dealer I bought my car from (300 miles from my house) was nice enough to replace my turbo and take care of some other problems (Tampa, St. pete, Orlando dealers) would not. Stay away from the CPU Chips, especially with German cars.

no you said 344 and you said the car would be making 444 maybe 500 which is nothing but false. when the car is on the dyno it wont be making 340 to the wheels which is what matters. so please enough with your dumb comments....

I am gonna guess that Krazy doesn't know what the difference is between HP to the wheels and SAE HP.
