Well i dont think that the problem is with the pump but think what you want i still think it is with the vehicle. Why well because when it stopped letting me pump gas i tried the whole pull the nozzle out further and kept going further and finally all the way out stuck it back in and still no pumping allowed. I had to actually start the vehicle check my fuel level and then restart the pump and it let me pump the rest in !!

Absolutely. When you take it to the dealership tell them that you are having a problem with the "3/4 Tank Fuel Shut-off Valve Sensor" I'm almost certain there's a TSB on it.

This happened to me today...but I was spraying gas in like no tomorrow. I ran the car then went back and filled up the rest.

So is the solution to pump slower or is this something I need to bring to the dealership to get fixed?

Take the gas pump thingy, turn it upside down and fill it. Works everytime. My ex-wifes toyota highlander would always do that. Someone mentioned this work around and to my surprised it worked.

My 2012 G37 started doing this today when I was at Costco trying to fill it up. About 4 gallons into it, it stop pumping. I tried another refill station in front of me and still same problem.

Next time I guess I will try putting it upside down to see if that will take care of it. This also happen one time when I rented a 2010 G37 and it wouldn't pump until I drove it across the street to the other gas station and it ended up working.

This is embarrassing to have a 40K car this.
