Service Engine Soon light came on...

I only have 1200 miles on my G37 and this morning on my way to work the "service engine soon" light came on. Has anybody had this problem? I haven't read the owners manual yet because I'm at work, but is there a way to reset it? Or do I have to go to the dealer and have them reset it for me. Plus there's nothing wrong with my car at all. It's been running smoothly.

I wouldn't reset the CEL myself on a brand new car without getting it checked first. Take it to the dealership and makes sure to get them to tell you what code it is throwing. That way if the tell you "It's nothing", youll at least have an idea os what might possibly be amiss and what to watch out for in the future.

Did you fill up with gas this morning? A loose gas cap will throw a CEL.

I'm assuming the G37's have the same electronics as the 07 G35 sedan. If so, you can pull the code yourself. Look at post #8 in the following thread:
