Learn how to properly throttle, clutch, and shift. It will make your acceleration times infinitely better. Take a good driving course.

From my experience, I've noticed many people are of the opinion that a very large exhaust tip inherently makes a car faster. You'll notice this phenomenon on many Hondas, Acuras, and even the occasional Neon. The bigger the better, and the faster you'll go.

Also...large amounts of primer (preferably *at least* the entire front, back, or one side of the car) aids in aerodynamic performance as well. Yes...our new G37's look great all shiny and stuff...but let's not be sissies. Get out the sandpaper and stock up on some really high quality primer. If you primer it, speed will come.

I could go on and on...but a picture is worth a thousand words. You want speed? You wanna play with the big boys? Here's what ya gotta do:

HA...

Unless you can top Helios 1.. you ain't in the game... :-)

FYI: Helios 1 is the fastest man-made object ever made. It reached a top speed of 67Km/s (yes.. 67 kilometers per SECOND, about 42 miles per second.)

But I'll stick with a G37.

A good place to possibly start in my opinion would be your wheels. A lighter forged set would free up some of your power that is lost through the drivetrain. Volk or Work would be the brands I'd personally consider. Best of luck.

I agree with this though its going to cost a pretty penny. IMO, I would have just saved that money and put a hefty down payment on a GT-R (although the dealer markups are going to suck).

Also, I don't know if you have a 6MT or how heavy the stock clutch/flywheel are, but I'd look into a nice lightweight SPEC or Fidanza (basically the same thing) clutch/flywheel.

Yep... also he could go with light weight engine or crank pulleys.
