so for what i understand the new g37 coupe is not that much faster than the g35 sedan. this is very disapointing. is this really true

Yep, this is true but the G37 has a better powerband. More power throughout the whole RPM range plus more power in the higher gears.

This has always been the case even with the previous generation- virtually the same acceleration froma dig.

It is true as stated above, but this year, you can look better accelerating then you did in the previous years
