Uprev, etunes and a stock G37

Curious if there is anyone out there who has dealt with tuning their stock g37 with uprev and also sent their data to etunes for a complete tune. Looking for any feedback on your experiences with the etunes process (stock or not) and if it was satisfactory. I know many will ask why bother tuning a stock car well my answer is simply to increase my enjoyment with my car and possibly get a better tune than the factory especially now that it's safely broken in at 25,000.

I understand however I don;t think you'll be that happy with the results. A lot of us e-tuned, I did with Ecutek which is a better tune than UpRev. First I'd recommend you go that route. However, my suggestion is to at the very least get a long tune intake and high flow cats, then tune with EcuTek and you will notice a pretty substantial difference over stock and your car won't be that loud. It'll sound like a well tuned machine.
Tuning it stock will likely be a disappointment.

So I have to go through a local tuner and send them the data for the etune? I'm guessing the cost varies between places.

From: Framingham Ma,
You won't have to use s local shop. I used JohnV and he's i CT and I'm in MA. You'll but the software and cable , download a base tune and then make pulls for data logging to send back to hi. I John only need a couple of 3rd gear pills and normal driving log to tune my car. You have to do this 3-4 times before your done. You can use anyone that does tunes, I would however suggest using John or Seb they seem to have the " best results".

How much did the tune (uprev or ecutek) help with the 7AT shifts?

It helped quite a lot. Probably similar to getting the software update at the dealer for the tranny, which you could likely get for free if you go there and explain your shifting issues in detail. I have Ecutek e-tune through Visconti Tuning. Great tuner.

According to my dealership, my 2011 has no updates available. Has anyone come up with a way to check what revision the ecu is at to verify if the car is truly updated?

I had the updates done on my car and it didn't seem to make a huge difference. I really just want the throttle lag eliminated and the tranny to be firmed up a bit on shifts.

Ecutek will help with the tranny searching for gears, lagging etc and it does firm up your shifts.

What's up World,

I have a 08 sport coupe 6mt, motordyne exhaust, motordyne art pipes, z1 intake, z1 2 piece brakes front and rear, 56k miles and uprev tune. Care made 355.5hp to the wheels and 282.5tq to the wheels. Had the car tuned last Monday. 4th gear pulls, slightly increased throttle response.

Damn, gotta try this. At least I have a catback. It'll be a LOT less expensive than the Level 10 route.
