After a little research I decided to go with Uprev, because thats what seemed the best with least hassle, not in my case.... Last weekend I went to a local tuner to get an Uprev tune and unfortunately when he connected his computer, Uprev software said tune is not available for my ECU. Apperently, infiniti changes their computers every year, and even tho the 2015 Q40 is the same as 2013 g37 sedan just rebadged, tune is different
Tuners option was to pay Uprev extra $200 to have them hack my ECU which honestly is gonna cost just a bit too much, $750 for a tune is ridiculous. (his charge os $550)
I want to know what other options beside uprev are available for our cars? Also has to be local in Socal.

Honestly, I think it's too new of a model right now. You'll have to wait, or fork over that $. I doubt the demand for Q40 tunes will be much. w

 

Just your tuner contact them. All they need is you ECU# and they should have a MAP for your car in a few hours. This happened way back in 11 with me and my coupe there was no FLASH for my cars ECU# my tuner called them that day and I have Flash in a hour and a half and was tuned the same day

 

And that is exactly what my tuner told me that before it was just a phone call and they would hack the new computer. So apparently now, they charge $200 for any new ECU they need to hack... FML!!
I have the ECU number and I think i am gonna end up emailing uprev to see if they can help.

I don't think you paying 200$ for them to hack you ECU that's what the licenses cost. You going to pay that weather you dyno tune it or street tune it. I pair the $200 for license and cable. Then paid for my tune.

Tune should run $550-600 without the cable. If you want the cable it's an extra 200$.
