My 5/16" Iso Thermal Spacer should be coming within the next week or so, depends when EverythingG35 gets their shipment, anyone wanna lend a helping hand during one of our meets?

Yeah I have put mine on and taken it off several times to polish my upper manifold.

 

Well Randy's G already has the 1/2" spacer installed so I won't need to do it ... but I wouldn't mind lending a hand so I can see what's involved.

Any thoughts of a before/after dyno?

 

He'll gain about 10 to 15 hp and 8 to 11 tq to the wheels. It's basically like the top half of hte MREV upgrade kit. It's mostly top end power so don't expect it to jump off the line. But bang for the buck it is one of the best mods you can do to that car.

 

Yeah considering I'm getting it for free basically (got in on the EverythingG35 special) I'll be happy with a free 10+ hp. It's also the Iso Thermal one so that'll be cool, supposed to lower the temperature of the plenum or something, I dunno all I know is cold air is always better

The install supposedly isn't very complex, I think as long as I/we don't drop any bolts (which I have done before, doh!) than we shouldn't have any problems.

As far as before/after dynos, I'm not sure yet, I'm not familiar with any shops, maybe if I could find one, I don't wanna pay too much for a dyno though.

 

dont forget some oil for the gaskets to soak in...

Hey guys I still have a chance to change my 5/16 spacer to a 1/2, would it be wort the extra $50 or so for my 03.5 Auto sedan? I don't care about stealth anymore since I won't have the cover on, iso thermal yay

 

I've seen the graphs between the 5/16 and 1/2 ... the difference between the 2 on NA engine is nominal. Unless you are planning on going FI in the future I would stick to the 5/16 so you can always reinstall the stock engine cover for resale purposes.
