GTR is Around the Corner!

An update on the GTR guys:

It was in port in Florida last week and is scheduled to be in the Bahamas facility for this Wednesday thru Friday for disassembly. Once disassembled it will be crated up and shipped back to Florida for Re-assembly. At this time a new:

Exedy Twin Plate Clutch and Flywheel
Downpipe
Test Pipe
Exhaust
Timing Belt
Gasket Set
Boost Controller
Air Filters

Will be put on the Car during the reassembly to save on time and labor later down the road. Perliminary dates put the car in Dallas in the 2nd week of January. With the modifications applied to it, the car should be running about 350 whp or so. But we'll see the jury is still out on the final numbers.

That may not be too far fetched. I mean Moog is the closest to me. Mark with the other TT G at SMU is the closest technically but he never checks the posts anymore. He is probably also not that impressed with seeing another Skyline, his car club has 2 of them. They are both GTS-T's but they look really good.

Who cares....with it being sold in the states and abandoning the RB26 it won't have the same focus and legendary status as the R32, R33, R34 will. I would argue that an R33 parked right next a brand new 2007 GTR would pull more attention because it was harder to obtain (as opposed to walking inot a dealership and leaving with one) and it will also still have the RB26

*Update*

The car is in the Bahamas. It made it to Freeport yesterday. The disassembly should be completed by the week's end. an update on the parts going in when it gets to Florida, they now include ARP main bolts and a 1.1 mm head gasket and a custom 3" back exhaust, downpipe, and cat delete.

The car is an R33 GTR V-Spec with 34,000 original miles on it. It had just cleared cutoms before I bought it so it was at an RI in Florida and I bought it from them. They are taking care of all of the necessary paperwork and Local law enforcement stuff to get it clean and clear to drive on the streets.

It is Silver with black interior and has dual air bags (which is a rare option for 95's as they weren't standard until 96 and later.)

Right when I pick it up it will have about 350 AWHP and about the same TQ. The list of mods is the first post on this thread:

Exedy Clutch+Flywheel
Gasket set
Timing belt
Boost controller
Custom 3" Downpipe, exhaust, cat delete
Greddy Air Filters
ARP Main and Head Bolts
Greddy 1.1 mm head gasket

Later I plan on doing a TT upgrade to HKS GT ball bearing beasts and a front mount intercooler and pushing the boost up some more to hit about 450 AWHP and about the same TQ.

Yeah and it definately didn't set me back $50K. That would be ridiculously overpriced and I would never have paid that!!! Let's just say I would tell you but I'd have to kill you. PM me and I'll give you more info.

Exedy on a Civic.....Yeah they suck.....Have ya seen the Skyline twin plate? Exactly. For a Skyline, this is the way to go. The warning is noted and in that little sideways tranny of the civic I am sure there was more wrong than just hte clutch.
