when you say that, do you mean between the MAF and the throttle body, or between the MAF and the IC?

Between the MAF and the IC. Anything passed that will mess up your universe.

sure thing man. My whole system was whacked when the first BOV was put between the THrottle body and MAF. After I put the second on one and closed the first.....instantly better.

I dont understand how it is better. shouldn't it be between the MAF and the throttle body because if it wasnt air would rush through the opposite way through the MAF and make it go haywire. If it is between the throttle body and MAF then the MAF is never exposed to the rushing air towards the BOV.

So what are you guys doing with the lower end of your engines and with your transmissions to handle all the new HP & torque? Lot's of good detail here on the turbo install but will the rest of the drivetrain handle it for any length of time? I know some 350Z guys who have blown their engines making lower numbers than these.

Mark,

Trust me on this my man.....Do it between the FMIC and the MAF. It will save you $300+ by not making this mistake. I am not steering you wrong here. It all makes sense. The problem with putting it after the MAF is that it reads a certain volume of pressurized air passing it.....Once it passes it it assumes all of that air will make it to the throttle body and so forth. When the air already account for by the MAF gets blown out of the system by the BOV the MAF doesn't compensate by adding more air for the air that has just been released from the system. If the rush of pressurized air never makes it passed the MAF then it realizes more air needs to be put through the system to prevent stalling and so forth.

Phantom, The stock tranny on the G is good enough for over 600 hp. Our highest HP guy is sitting at 543 hp on the stock tanny. The axles are good for 650 hp. I have a stage 3 ACT street clutch good for 450 hp and an unorthodoz lightweight flywheel as well. The only thing I don't have that some guys are replacing is the Differential. But the blown engines are coming with bad tunes. The drivetrain shouldn't fail and blowing a motor has nothing to do with the drivetrain.
