Post Help getting a new G cause mine is a POS G

OK guys, I think I'm gonna need help in getting a good deal on an 05'. I'm at wits end with mine and I am truly going to try to trade it in. I've had nothing but major issues with mine and truly I'm just waiting for the damn tranny to go out so that I'll really lose my sanity.

I'm very dissapointed with the quality of this "Infiniti" or should I say..."Nissan" in disguise. I checked into the TX lemon law and it looks like I'm out of luck on that deal. Although Sewell has been great at addressing my issues I'm just not comfortable with the reliability this car has shown so far.

Here's a list of all the problems that I've experienced so far and I'm only at 40K on my 03.5

1. Window motors have gone out 2X...guess what, my driver's side just went out again (3rd time). Good thing the rain had stopped.
2. Fuel sending unit replaced due to failure.
3. Fuel line dampener replaced.
4. Bose Stereo failure.
5. A/C Compressor failure.
6. Rt side compression rod replacement (pulling to the rt brand new)
7. I think my synchros are going out because 1-3rd gear are grindy (but yet somehow it's my imagination).

If anyone knows of any dealer (Grubbs, Sewell, Crest, etc.) that could truly get me somewhere close to invoice on a new one that would be great. I'm so attached to my G but on the flipside it's not feeling like it was a sound financial investment.

Thanks guys.
JD

I would check w/ your service advisor to see if the Sewell sales dept can do anything for you, since all your problems are documented by them.

Would you be down for a brake swap before your trade in? I'm craving Brembo's badly.

Well here's the deal, spoke to them a few min ago. and the dealer can't do much. I have to report my "issues" to Infinit HQ then they will turn back around and get with the dealer. Then...maybe then...they can offer me the extended warranty for free or some crap....

That might be doable William, I'm having them appraise the car first. So it could be where we get the brembos off of it if the car goes bye bye. That's one of the reasons I don't want an 05'...no Brembos If I can work something out where I end up getting rid of it I'll definitely keep you in mind.

Hey Robert, do you anyone at Grubbs that might be willing to work with on a good deal? I'm hoping that maybe our club affiliation would do some good????

Thanks JD...I would be willing to compensate you for the brakes if it ever comes down to that.

Who is your service guy at Sewell? I use Travis and he always seems to be very helpful. I like him cause he's mod friendly.

JD, it's because you've deprived the car of a SC! =) No, but really, you should call Grubbs and see what they can do for you. That's all Robert will do. Just tell them that the Prez and VP sent you and you'd like to work out a reasonable deal.
