I have Kumho All Season tires on my G, they hold up fine. It's 88 miles round trip to work,, the Las Colinas area. Normally when it really ices over I add a couple of 50lbs sand bags to bed of my truck. Now I'll just add them to the trunk of the G
I did 50 to 70 coming home last night at 11PM. People were actually passing me.
Man, I had those Khumo ASX all season tires as my last set of tires. They sucked almost as bad in the light snow last year as the summer tires I have had before/after. That is the only set of tires in the last 8 years I have gotten rid of while they were still good. The only time I thought there was any improvement was in the rain, and I think the BFG KDW I have now are close, dry handling was horrible on the ASX's.
Not to knock your tires (I guess I kind of did, if that is what you have), but be careful with those in the snow. I feel like, as someone who grew up further north, I am a decent driver in the snow. Those tires are false security.
Needless to say, I am glad I am in California, and my G is resting comfortably in the garage.
