Beta testers needed for R&D
Beta testers needed for R&D
I just received this info which might be of interest to some of our members.
UpRev is in development of reflash products for the G35 and other
Infiniti/Nissan vehicles.
As part of our R&D, we are performing dyno reflash tuning in Austin and I
would like to invite any of your members willing to make the trip. We will
also be looking for G35 owners that may have an interest in beta testing
an end-user tuning/reflash system.
Please let me know the best route to communicate with your members, or
what further information you would need.
Thanks.

This is info from one of our members;
This is what he emailed me..
Travis,
what we're doing now is custom dyno reflashes on Nissan's and
Infiniti's. This is R&D work for us to test and gain feedback on our
reflash package. We've reflashed many vehicles to date with no issues.
we'll tune air/fuel to whatever octane gas you put in your car
improve throttle response and throttle closure issues
adjust speed and rev limiters
power gains are vary depending on your mods and other variables.
first step is for us to verify your ECU part number as well as the year
and trim of your car.
If your vehicle has an ECU that we have done before, a full tune
typically takes 2 hours. If we have not done your specific ECU, we need
1 hour with the car to dump the entire memory from the ECU, a few days
to work it into our software, and then we can schedule the dyno time.
we do charge for the service. $300 for the flash + 175/hr for tuning.
there's no charge for the memory dump if it's needed.
please let me know what other questions you might have.

Except for what has been said on this forum I have not had any input from other members about this reflash. I cannot say if it's worth the money or not.
I would have thought they would give the first few testers a hugh discount or even have sponsored them for the testing.
This is one of the reasons we have this forum for our members so we can see what works and what doesn't.
