Hey everyone, I recently purchased an Uniden r3 and got a mirror tap off amazon for it. Only problem is I can’t get it to stay in. It gives the radar power when i physically put my hand on both wires and push but the second i let go it disconnects, it also came with smaller size prongs that i tried and had the same result, any help?

 

If the taps don't stay then you probably need to use bigger ones. Did the kit you bought only come with 2 sizes? I know some come with 3 or 4 different sizes. You may just end up having to hardwire it, as in, cut the mirror wires and the radar plug wires and splice them together
