Read the post above this and let me know which wheel you bought from eBay.
I ended up getting a pretty clean base wheel for $80. I just need the airbag now. I found out that the steering wheel mounted paddles were incompatible and that both the tech and red sport wheels had different wiring around the clock spring or something. I already have the column mounted OEM G37 paddles but I don’t use them anyways. My 2 last questions are what exactly rubs? Just the paddles when you use them or are there plastic pieces that scrape when you turn the wheel? And does the base wheel have a heat function? The ebay seller told me that the base wheel I got does have the heat function but idk if they’re right. And is there an easy way to get the heat functioning or is it just as difficult as rewiring the entire pin connector and clock spring for the steering wheel mounted paddles. I could live without it since the G wheel never had heat but if it was easier to get going than the paddles, although unlikely, that would be nice. Thanks for your help.
The plastic trim cover on the back of the Q60 wheel
MIGHT slightly rub on the lip of the G37 steering column shrouds
I think it is just a matter of the two halves settling in. After all these years any rub is gone so I would consider that issue moot. The G37 paddles will clear the Q60 wheel with zero issues. The paddle "might" hit the back of the steering wheel when "shifting" but not enough to effect anything.

I am not aware of ANY base/ Non-Tech wheel that has the heater function which is why I went Tech/ RS, but it would not surprise me. Easiest way to check, does your wheel have the single connector with the black and brown wire?
If your wheel has that connector it has the heating function.

You would still need a different clockspring. The traces on the G37 ribbon cable are not gauged to handle that current. You would need a specific clockspring that has the heater function built-in. Then all you have to do is add in a switched relay 12V+ circuit and feed those wires to the clockspring harness. Not overly difficult but not "plug-and-play" simplicity either.
