dunno what to tell you. It's precisely what you see in the picture. Maybe try warming up the PVC tube a bit before trying to push it on to the barb.

Lubegard is purely optional. I used it to see if the idle vibrations had anything to do with the torque converter. The answer is no. Regular maxlife will suffice.

Did you buy 1/4" OD tube? Should fit with a bit of love otherwise. As stated a bit of heat will help.

Nope your items were correct! I ordered the items for pickup and they gave me the 1/4 in outer diameter instead of inner. No wonder it seemed so weird. also thanks for the reply!

Thats exactly what happened. I ordered for pickup for the 1/4 ID Tube but they gave me the OD tube by mistake.

Hey just got my filler adapter CTA Tools 7425, did you use a different size tubing for that part? The CTA Tools 7425 adapter is much larger than the 1/4th tube.

Took 2 days for me. I'm probably gonna stop by lowes today and buy a different size barb and tubing to fit on the adapter. the adapter is 3/8 in outer diamater

I didn't use the CTA one. It's possible it's wider.

I got it from amazon. I managed to make it work nicely! You need about a foot or 2 of 3/8 Inner Diameter tubing. and 1/4 barb with 3/8 end. Hope that helps! If you need anymore help lemme know!

I'd say thats the ticket. You need the 1/4" to interface with the sprayer, but it will probably be easier to step it up to 3/8" on the far side of the valve. Even with the other adapter it was a bit of a struggle fitting the tubing on

Victory, thanks for putting this together and everyone else for your findings along the way.

I'm taking this up (plus differentials, spark plugs, etc.) The Lowes item 645660 1/4 in BRB X MIP is no longer available:

https://www.lowes.com/pd/BrassCraft-...tting/50380738

They do have a ball valve but it's going to require another two barb adapters it looks like:

https://www.lowes.com/pd/AMERICAN-VA...lve/1000248311

I can't seem to find replacement for the MIP at HomeDepo, and neither have 1/4-in barb ball valve...??

I know you can get the "official" adapter but on Amazon one said his broke and another said the end piece that attaches to hose falls off easily. Also triple the price of what I think I've found will work. Will the following two items work in place of the original equipment?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fitting-Met...-/162362569738

Amazon Amazon

Amazon used to have this, but no longer. Seems odd this is all so hard to find and match up . That's assuming I got it all right? Thoughts, other part sources? TIA.

Awesome thread! Thanks for putting this together! I have most of the parts and weed spayed pump ready to go, just waiting on the M8 x 1 x 1/4 adapter ordered from eBay to arrive. Have 4 jugs of Valvoline Maxlife Synthetic ATF on stand by.
