I'm new to this forum and want to ask a silly question about key fob programming.
My dealer ask for 250 for key fob + programming and locksmith ask for 130+ for programming.
Is there a DIY programming method? I've search the forum and found nothing.

The only way to program the key is by using the Consult 3 or other programming tool. So you can't do that at home without some specialized tools.

 

They sell the programmable key fobs at auto zone that you can program at home as long as you have one that came with the car already programmed. It's $100.00 but it's a simple diy.

 

What I did in this situation, is buying the replacement oem fob on ebay with the blank key, its the same key the dealer gives you for like$40 and I went to a nissan dealer, and they charged me $120,so rougly $160ish , then went to a hardware store and got the key duplicated, It was alot cheaper than what infiniti would charge I believe.
