Having been in the import scene for a while, we all know that there are certain goodies available in certain areas of the world that are not available in others.

As I was looking for the more subtle performance mods with OEM quality and minimal impact on NVH, underbody aero came to mind.

Upon inspection of the EXT section in the 2012 Infiniti G37 Sedan FSM, page EXT-32 shows some underbody aero that we don't have here in the US: Item #'s 3, 4, 7.

Thoughts? Anybody know where to source them? Some JDM tuning houses such as GTSpec has pictures of car underbody, and we do indeed see these underbody aero pieces in place.


I'm just imagining if our cars are zero-lift only with these pieces in place...and the accompanying gas economy savings and performance to be netted

any update on this? I am really curious as I live in the northeast and this seems like great underbody protection against rust. Nice research

 

They are installed in many domestic G37s, find a junk yard.

Take my word for it, easier said then done. No g37 or g35 at junk yards (online searchable, that is) w/in 500 miles. Due to the value of the cars unless these are a complete loss I think most of these cars are rebuilt and put back on the road.

bumping this - can anybody take some pics of their underbody if they have these pieces?

Wondering what month/year models we can order from if going to a local dealer

 

As it turns out, a few of these pieces were removed from the car for the 2010 facelift.

However, it's still present in the FSM for all the years.

I was hoping someone on the forums would look more into it, but here's to being a contributing member

I just bought them yesterday (finally got around to it) and will be installing them soon.

I can only imagine that the closer we get to a flat underbody the better it is for us in terms of aerodynamics.
