Lightbulb Two-tone custom steering wheel install

Hi all, just here to show my custom two-tone steering wheel. I received it about a year ago from redlinegoods, but was only recently able to install it.

Steering wheel removal can be found here.
Steering wheel trim replacement can be found here.

My previous vehicle had an M3 steering wheel, and although I love my Infiniti, I missed the thickness and tri-stitching from my previous car. I had an extra steering wheel, so I decided to get it thickened with the IPL color stitching.

Here's an image of it installed:

(vinyl carbon fiber wrap from my previous DIY)

Top in perforated gray leather to match the stone leather interior:

Bottom done in black nappa leather, and side done in black perforated leather:

Steering wheel definitely feels better in my hands, the extra cushioning makes it nice to squeeze, and the coloring is actually quite subtle - matching well with the rest of the interior (the gray leather on top blends in with the interior leather, and the thread colors are nearly the same as those in the gauges). The threading is also not immediately visible to passengers, so it's a nice little upgrade that's always in my line of vision as the driver. It's something I interact with and feel every time I drive, so it was definitely a worthwhile upgrade for me!

Redlinegoods was very responsive to my e-mails. I sent tons of messages to make sure they understood exactly what colors, leather, and patterns I wanted. There was a mishap with my first package, but Maciek and Jack made certain that everything turned out great and made me a happy customer!

Thanks! I actually tend to forget about the top portion being a different color because it blends in quite nicely in person!
