I've been doing a lot of research on the difference between the G37S vs the IPL G37, and I've come to the conclusion that the IPL exhaust is the main component that is giving the IPL G37 it's increased horsepower. I know someone who wants to sell the IPL exhaust, but what i don't understand is how an IPL exhaust can increase the horsepower 16-18? Does the ECU need to be reset?

If I install the IPL exhaust on my G37S, will I need to reset the ECU so it can learn of the new airflow.

They also tune the car with the exhaust. Not just an ECU reset. The exhaust is going to help yes, but the tune may be the thing giving it the most HP.

I thought I read the review that there is no "IPL tune"?

Where did you find that the IPL exhaust is the source of the power?

The IPL uses a true dual Y pipe. I believe there is a tune from factory as well that gives the IPL the extra power. This link clears things up a little more.
