After sliding into a snow bank last week, I took advantage of the warm weather today, and took my bumper cover off to fully assess the damage.

The fender liner is cracked. They're under $50 online. How hard are they to install? I did some searching on the forum, and wasn't able to find instructions for replacing one.

I used a heat gun and popped the dents out of the bumper cover, and I remounted the grill that was popped out. Now that it's back on, it doesn't look bad, so I need to decide wether to live with it, or replace it. If I'm going to replace it, I definitely need to replace the fender liner too. Taking it to a shop would be out of the budget at the moment, so I need to know if I can replace the fender liner myself.

There's also a cable taped the the support right behind the grill that's not hooked to anything. I assume it's for an accessory that my car doesn't have. What is it for?

Also, what piece does the pop pin thing (don't know the correct term) go into for the front fender liner? There doesn't seem to be anything to fasten it into any more. The one for the passenger side was no problem, but on the drivers side, there's nothing there. Is there another piece I may need to replace, or is that part of the bumper?

 

The cable is for ICC Intelligent Cruise Control.
Unless you have the Technology Option, it's unneeded.
