Passenger door speaker grille

Just a quick question on replacing the speaker grille on my passenger door

Is it required to take the whole panel off to replace?

My dealership told me they need to do so and wanted to charge me a full hours labor to do, for a $25 part.. I'd rather do myself, but taking the panel off doesn't look fun!

It's actually pretty easy, I had to replace mine just a few days ago!

took less time than changing the cabin filter lol

so the answer to your question. Yes.

Search for the DIY on here for taking the door panel off. You dont have to take it completely off just undo the first wire clips at the top for the power lock/windows and let it hang by the lower wires as you work. this should give you enough room to get a screwdriver in there, and unscrew the 9 (I think) screws holding the speaker grill onto the panel. and then you're done. 30 mins top. words of caution: wrap your flat head screwdriver in an old rag when you're pulling the panel off the door to avoid scratching anything.
