Lowering 5AT Shift ****

Found a great write-up on G35Driver.com for lowering the height of the 5AT shift ****. This guy installed an M Sport ****, and lowered it by 3/4"... good shiit... I'll be doing this soon.

Pretty interesting... let us know how it goes. I'd be interested to do this to the stock ****. Don't think it's worth it to buy the M ****.

are you referring to an aftermarket manual shift ****?

i'd imagine youll have to yank the wire for push to release at the front of our shifter.

Only a couple options from Momo that I know of...

And then one called the Razo... not too fond of it.

Personally, I think the M Sport shifter is the best option if you have black interior... the cross-stitching matches the seats.

I bought mine through Riverside Infiniti... I think it was about $100. I like it way better than the stock G shift ****.

Got a part number?

I called my dealer, and parts guy was throwing random part numbers, and prices up to $200.00.

I will look for the part number.. But just give Rick @ Riverside Infiniti a call, he knew exactly what I was talking about. I think price was about $105ish picked up..

I beg to differ.. I hate everything about the stock G shift ****... Looks ugly and feels terrible in your hand.. The full leather **** should have come standard in the G37.

Dont get my wrong guys, but this is kinda a pointless arguement. I get the point of a shorter throw for the manual guys..but we are talking about a shorter **** for automatics. Yea it might look a little cooler but $100-$200 for a new look for the interior which your hand is probably gonna be covering while your driving anyway. I'd just rather spend my money elsewhere...and i have an auto myself. But like i said dont get me wrong, to each his own.

I have a tendency (I grew up driving manual trans) to leave my hand on the shifter as I drive.
Even driving my expedition, I rest my hand on the column shifter, as I drove 3 on the tree pickups as a teen!!

That being said, I use the shift **** in manual more than the paddles!!!
I dont like the aluminum trim on my hand.

No worse than others swapping carbon fiber for aluminum trim.
To each his own
