Can you see if your wired for paddles without removing steering wheel?

Okay so on the g35 thread, page 20, there is a way to instal paddles without removing the steering wheel. But i couldnt do it at all! i could not remove the lower trim (below the steering column). So how exactly can you check on a g37? Maybe with pics ? Thanks

In my time trying to check, i broke 2 clips and lost a screw

your steering clock-spring is different and wouldn't support it if its not a packaged item you wanted new with the car.

I just did it this weekend on my 2010 x sedan. You just have to do alot of pulling to get the bottom steering cover off. (after taking out the 2 screws behind the steering wheel), It is a serious pain. I thought I was going to break the column cover, but the paddle kit comes with a new one anyway. Can use foam or masking tape to protect the dash/bottom gauge cluster cover thing. After you get the bottom piece off, you will be able to see the two little plugs wrapped up under the column.

I have a 2010 Journey Coupe, non-nav and non-premium. I bent down to look from under the steering column and there is a gap about 1" wide where I could see the connector for the right paddle just hanging there. You can also get your fingers in there and feel around. I'm installing them this weekend.

I got my paddle shifters yesterday and installed them. The last piece was the left trim piece, and that's when I realized they sent me the kit for cars with power telescoping steering. The bottom trim doesn't have the slot for where the manual locking steering wheel goes, so I can't lock my steering wheel in place. And there's a hole in the left trim piece where the control for steering adjustment goes.

So make sure you specify if you have that option when ordering, now I have to take it all off and send it back.
