What size socket for cat bolts??

What size socket for cat bolts??

What size socket is needed for cat removal? Going to be doing mine sometime this week and want to make sure i have the correct size.

I think it's 14mm but not 100% sure.

I think the 14mm works but a 9/16 does fit also, I had to use the 9/16 and an Impact gun with 1/2" drive, 32" extension to break the top bolt free this is the bolt that you have to get from the top which is right behind the intakes. When I used the 14mm on this bolt it seemed to be spinning a little bit, the 9/16 fit a little snugger on the bolt and actually worked. (future reference for anyone)

Buy extra nuts and bolts and expect to snap the heads off of 2-4 of the stock ones.

well yeah and if you bought new cats or tp chances are they supply them, it might be a good idea to go to a local store and pick up the same size stainless steel bolts though to help prevent rusting, but yeah I think I really got lucky without having to cut any of the stock bolts, I would suggest using an anti-seize lube on any nuts going further
