Still lovin' it. I've been through winter snow, salted roads, freezing rain, car washes and whatever. This is my DD so it sees it all and parked outside all day at the office.

I see no deterioration from the elements.

The pic where they guy is having to cover his eyes. Will that blind people that badly backing up? If so, then I may pass on this.

i highly doubt it lights that bright to blind, cause according to that pictures its brighter than a headlight. exposure time on a camera can do wonders

It is noticeable but not blinding. I agree the picture's exposure time makes it look brighter than it really is. But as it said earlier in the post, it's better they see it than not. The best benefit is for my visibility not to warn others.

My Thoughts On This...

Ok, I bought one this week and installed it. Installation was not too bad thanks to the installation guide posted by "Mid-Life Crisis".

My first thought...it is, for sure, very bright. No doubt about that. It will catch anyones attention who may be behind you. So it gets a "+" for safety in that regard.

Second thought...the top of it blocks the name of my state (on the plate), the month and the year stickers. Not good. V-Leds should address that.

As far as backing up with a rearview camera, it is so bright that it causes the camera to dim quite a bit which ends up hidding a lot things in the edge of the view. Counter-productive? Maybe. I'll repost after I've driven it around town in real situations first but it may end up being too bright for use with the camera. Any ideas on getting the camera to not dim so much?

Without using the camera though, it's fantastic!

UPDATE: I also added the V-LEDS HID WHITE 19 M-SMT 8W HIGH POWER BULBS found at V-LEDS HID WHITE 19 M-SMT 8W HIGH POWER BULBS 917 918 920 921 922 923. Now things are super bright back there.

To help the camera "wash-out" issue I adjusted the screen settings a little to compensate. (Engine off, ACC on, car in reverse so you can see back there and press settings) It has helped but its still a little bright for the poor backup camera.
